Neerja Ahuja Owner, Ayurveda Awareness
Neerja Ahuja is Principal Consultant and Director, Ayurveda Awareness Centre (AAC). She is a trained consultant, therapist and classroom facilitator for courses run by AAC for nearly two decades now. Neerja leads regular educational seminars and workshops including cooking demos and weekend residential Ayurveda Retreats for nurturing and healing.
She started with a community awareness project to promote Ayurveda in Western Australia in 1999 and this went on to become a full time personal and professional passion.
When Ayurveda got recognized as a health modality in Australia, AAC became the first clinic in WA to be an RTO (Registered Training Organization), teaching nationally recognized Ayurveda courses, with an internationally renowned mentor and teacher, Dr Rajen Cooppan (M.B.Ch.B., M.D., Dip. Ayu.)
Neerja has lead educational seminars and workshops and weekend residential Ayurveda Retreats.
She presented workshops on “Leadership is a By-Product of Spirituality” in SLaM (Spirituality,
Leadership and Management) conference & “Inner Management – The Wisdom of Leadership” in Sydney.
She has done numerous presentations on Ayurveda at different yoga schools and natural health colleges.
She conducted Ayurveda programs as University of Western Australia (UWA) Extension course.
She presented workshop to King Edwards Memorial (KEM) Hospital midwifery and nursing students on “Post Natal Care with Ayurveda”.

She continues to run regular seminars/ workshops and courses at Ayurveda Awareness Centre (AAC)
Neerja’s intimate connection with the Indian culture and her personal interest in holistic healing, Indian herbs and cuisine gives a unique authenticity to her teaching, practice, and presentations on Ayurveda. Her work as course facilitator for nationally recognized courses, seminars, workshops, retreats and consultations with thousands of clients, has deepened her understanding of human psychology and why and how people get sick and how they can truly heal.
