Koshas – Why you should learn Energy Systems of Yoga & Ayurveda

One of the greatest mystery of our life is the understanding of our own personality. We are all looking for peace of mind and some meaning to our life. As we age, we get insights about our self – what works and what doesn’t. What kind of people “click” and who doesn’t. We want to love people, especially those around us – our family, and friends. But we don’t know why we think the way we do, and why feel and behave the way we do. At times, we would love to change ourselves because we understand that it will bring peace and joy and love, but it can be so hard at times. How can we understand ourselves better and how can we bring change that is bringing ease in living? Learning about our koshas is one of the first steps.

According to Ayurveda and Yoga, the Energy Systems of koshas, chakras, nadi, pranas, antahakarna, gunas give us lot of clues to a peaceful and purposeful life. We will still have to make an effort. It is like reading 100 books on swimming will still not make us a swimmer, we will still need to go into the water and start some point of time. Finally, we will go through the steps in utilizing these practices to improve our personality traits and emotional well being. Understanding our body enables us to take good care of it in such a way that we can keep ourselves energetic and stress-free.
